Tennis has given us some of the biggest competitors as well as year long rivalries. The four biggest names in tennis competition are Andy Murray , Novak Djyokavic , Rodger Federer and Rafael Nadal. These four players have had year long battles against each other where they have constantly been competing between each other. often referred to as the "Big Four"—has spanned over two decades, creating unforgettable tennis history. . Each player offers a different and unique tennis style and play.
Rodger Federer has a very unique tennis style, for one he plays a single handed back hand which isn't that common in modern tennis players. Federer has an elegant and seemingness effortless technique. Federer was in his top form of tennis in the early 2000's wining his first grand slam in 2003 at Wimbledon, years following this he became the worlds number one from 2004 to 2007 consecutively. Federer won Wimbledon five times in a row from 2003 until 2007. His rivalry with Nadal became legendary, Their 2008 Wimbledon final, often called one of the greatest matches in tennis history, saw Nadal defeat Federer in a five-set thriller, 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7, ending Federer's five-year Wimbledon reign. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles, his last at the 2018 Australian Open.

Rafael Nadal is known as the "king of clay" , he has won 14 French open titles. Nadal’s rivalry with Federer started on clay but soon spanned all surfaces, leading to many iconic Grand Slam matchups. In 2009, Nadal defeated Federer in the Australian Open final, becoming the first Spaniard to win the title. His 2022 Australian Open victory marked his 21st Grand Slam, setting a record, which he extended to 22 by winning the French Open that same year
Djokovic broke the Federer-Nadal dominance with his first Grand Slam win at the 2008 Australian Open. By 2011, he had risen to become a powerhouse, capturing three out of four Grand Slam titles and achieving an incredible 41-match winning streak. In 2015, he repeated his triple-Slam success, solidifying his rivalry with Federer and Nadal. Djokovic claimed his record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title at the 2023 French Open, making him the men’s all-time Grand Slam leader.
Murray became a serious contender when he claimed his first Grand Slam title at the 2012 U.S. Open, beating Djokovic in the final. In 2013, he made history by becoming the first British man in 77 years to win Wimbledon, beating Djokovic. He then won Wimbledon again in 2016. Despite facing numerous injuries and surgeries, Murray won three Grand Slam titles overall and reached the World No. 1 ranking in 2016.
